Join Us!
Come to one of our weekly services.
We hold one Wednesday Service and two Sunday morning services, using Rite Two in the Book of Common Prayer.
On Wednesdays,
The Noon service is a brief service without Eucharist.
On Sundays,
The 7:45 AM service is quiet; introspective without music.
At the 10 AM service we praise God with the singing of liturgy and hymns, accompanied by our choir and pipe organ.
Both Sunday services are followed by a coffee hour in the parish hall.

St. Luke's Role in Saranac Lake History
Located at Church and Main Streets in Saranac Lake, in the heart of the Adirondacks, Saint Luke’s is a faithful community of Christians.
Our History
The Episcopal Church of St. Luke the Beloved Physician was completed in 1879 in response to the spiritual needs of tuberculous patients and their physicians.
The founder of Saranac Lake’s cure industry and namesake of the research institute that continues in Saranac Lake to this day, Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau was responsible for St. Luke’s fundraising. He also served as church treasurer and warden for thirty-eight years, until his death in 1915.
We seek to practice what St. Benedict taught his monks and their households: “All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ” (Rule of St. Benedict 53:1).
Our parish is centered on the worship of God and is committed to embracing all who come here with the love of Christ and to responding abundantly to the needs of our community and our world.
